You’ve seen it on your own feeds you’ve seen it in those Instagram ads promising to make you $10,000 per month, those people on LinkedIn who are constantly talking about themselves, or even the typical influencer. They’re all examples of self-promotion by marketing, and although they can be a bit annoying, they are effective when done correctly.

Self-promotion can be important because it increases awareness of your abilities and capabilities. This can attract opportunities to help you advance your career or switch careers.
